We decided to do some winter exploring so strapped on our snowshoes to hike the hills of White Pine Hollow north of Luxemburg. The weather had finally warmed enough on January 14 to make our outing enjoyable. We were especially taken with the ice flows coming from the limestone bluffs along this stream bed. This photo shows my husband admiring such a formation. There is much beauty to be found in Iowa at any season.
